“What better way to express my heartfelt thanks to the donors/patrons of the Hebrew Free Loan Association than to put my sentiments in writing? Being recently approved a loan to help me renovate my home in Westbury from the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, I am so truly grateful to the anonymous members who so proudly honor this time old tradition in our Jewish community in Houston. Mireille was my contact person and was so informative, kind and patient leading me through the process and paperwork. We never know what life has in store for us…, but it felt so comforting to have ‘strangers’ nearby who are able and so willing to help me persevere through yet another “rocky road.”
